New albums from Caroline Cobb!

Caroline Cobb is my favorite songwriter. That’s a bold statement, but I thought a lot before committing to it, and I couldn’t think of a songwriter whose lyrics resonate more deeply with me, or whose melodies are as fun to sing as hers. And she just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund two new albums that sound as beautiful as the two I already own and love!

Slugs & Bugs (A Kickstarter Campaign)

What could be better than news that Slugs & Bugs is currently fundraising for the release of their third Sing the Bible album?

Reading that news while eating a donut would be nice. Reading that news while eating a donut and drinking a cup of coffee would be nice, too. But better than both of those is the news that Slugs & Bugs is fundraising for both Sing the Bible Vol. 3 and for a Vince Guaraldi-seasoned Sing the Bible Christmas album!

A Sequel to the Green Ember!

If you read The Green Ember, you probably a) loved it, and b) wanted more. If you answered yes to one or both of those, then, my friend, this post is for you:

S. D. Smith launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund Ember Falls, the highly-anticipated sequel to The Green Ember. There are all kinds of fun perks to supporting the campaign (t-shirts and stickers, yes, but also swords), but of course the best reward is the book itself and the joy of getting closure on some of the unanswered questions of The Green Ember.

Big news about the Wingfeather Saga!

It could be the bar of excellent chocolate I’m snacking on while my kids nap. It could be the realization that we have roughly three weeks until this baby arrives (that certainly is exciting). But right now, what has me so excited I’m having trouble reading the fine print on their Kickstarter page is the news that Andrew Peterson is raising funds to bring The Wingfeather Saga to the screen as an animated short and (hopefully) as a full-length television series.

Yes! I know! Exciting, isn’t it? So exciting that I had to drop what I was doing (eating chocolate and wondering where our infant car seat is) to share the news with you.
